I am a retired member of Staffordshire Ambulance Service where I served on front line Accident and Emergency vehicles attending many incidents requiring a high level of life support skills.
 
 As a former chair of the service Joint Negotiating, and Health and Safety Committee I was heavily involved in decisions affecting the running of the ambulance service.
 
On retiring, I took on a consultancy position with the ambulance service and the Strategic Health Authority.
 
This involved visiting health trusts in the Staffordshire and Shropshire areas, to ensure the full implementation of the Knowledge and Skills Framework and Improving Working Lives policies which were being introduced into the health service.
 
I am  a member of the American Geriatric Society and a coordinator of GEMS training courses

Over the past eight years, together with co directors I have acquired and had donated, medical equipment and aid which we have transported to Bulgaria and other parts of Eastern Europe, to help improve the humanitarian, educational and social needs of the people of these countries.
 
SASHA is currently involved in the provision of GEMS and PEPP training to medical and military personnel in Portugal.
 
I am presently involved in the Health and Care of the elderly within
Staffordshire Social Services.
