SASHA is a registered charitable organisation (Registered Charity No 1077580) that was established in 1999 by Stuart Alves Esq. MBE in response to a plea for humanitarian aid and healthcare education from the Bulgarian Government in 1997.In the 12 years since our beginning we have now donated some £8.5 million worth of Humanitarian Aid, predominently in Bulgaria but also in places such as Macedonia, Albania, Ukraine, Nigeria and more recently Portugal. Giving assistance to Countries led us to the belief that we could achieve far more with teaching programmes which would enable our medical colleagues in other Countries establish their own faculty's in Pre-Hospital Emergency Healthcare. We know from our own experience in the United Kingdom that taking on board the principles taught in these Pre-Hospital courses have provided us with greater capability when dealing with our patients in the Trauma situation, we know from much Clinical evidence around the world that these principles work toward preventing countless but needless deaths in Trauma. So, SASHA has extended its role and is now offering healthcare education in many countries around the world, we have presented many seminars in Countries from Nigeria to the Ukraine and have established Pre-Hospital faculties in many more Countries. Our challenge is to promote Pre-Hospital Education in as many areas as needed and to train the trainers thus giving our colleagues the gift of knowledge that was passed to us previously. Our desire is to give education and training where it is requested to whoever may have the need for it.
